It is Great to Have 13

We threw light on Number 4 in our last edition leaving 13 and 22 aside though their total sum is also 4. True, these numbers emanate from 4 but have their own specific qualities that need be comprehended separately. 22 is a Master Number whereas 13 falls in the category of Karmic Debt Numbers. We will discuss Number 13 with an emphasis on its distinguished traits.
Whenever we discuss 13, a number of misconceptions and superstitions appear from nowhere. Our vision is marred with all those fallacies which dub it as an ominous Number. 13 did this, 13 did that, it is never good, it should be avoided and many other sayings depicting an unreasonably negative picture of this Number. These misconceptions and superstitions have actually been imported from the western world without going into factual details. We call it bad simply on account of some bitter western experiences with this Number. Numerology was developed to its present position by the western scholars. So, we embraced the facts of Numerology along with its fallacies. Even if one considers them relevant, the truth remains partial as there are some negative instances. They overlook the positive side of truth, grossly ignoring a great number of very positive examples.
Number 13 has been treated ill by the western numerologists and their Indian followers. Neither this Number is ominous nor does it augur bad luck. On the contrary this is a great Number. It has all commendable qualities of Number 4 like stern discipline, organized effort and accomplishment of works, besides superb imaginative powers and creative skills which are missing in the former. The bearers of Number 4 are assiduous and well-organised but usually follow the tried and conventional methods. They are hardly able to introduce a newer, fresher approach as they lack in imaginary powers and are averse to untried methods and experimentalism. They are mainly concerned with accomplishing their tasks and abhor new experiments which always have possibilities of failure, resulting in waste of time and resources. But Number 13 is an experimentalist and loves new ideas and fresh approach. His commitment to accomplishment of tasks is not less than that of 4 but it is ably supported with a fanciful attitude that helps adding colors to creativity. For example 4 is an automobile engineer who always tries to make a car which is fuel efficient with a time tested engine and a solid iron body so as to give his customer all basic virtues of a reliable car. But on the other hand 13 would like to add more features to give that car an attractive look, may bind its engine in a newer way for lesser noise and may also replace the iron body with that of fiber to make the car lighter, economical and more fuel efficient.
But what if the new binding of engine does not get popular with mechanics and fiber sheet add to the vulnerability of the car on highways. The whole experiment might result in the loss of money, resources and good will; bring ill fame and insults for Number 13. Yes, that is always a possibility with this Number. To be honest, the words like newness, imaginary powers and distinct thinking sounds very good but implementing them is not easy in a world which loves time tested and conventional methods. But, for the bearers of Number 13 these three words are almost like an ideal. These people are a determined sort and do not like to change their approach in wake of criticism, provided their birth chart is not overwhelmed with female zodiac signs. May be the ruling planet of 13, Uranus, has created this number to make human accomplishments more interesting and innovative. Uranus has also taken pains to make this Number quite restive so as to sustain its radical beliefs and differing opinions amidst social censure and controversies.
A prone-to-controversy attitude and sometimes a radical approach towards life do not make the number a loner. They lead their beliefs from the front because they are born to accomplish their works. The strong commitment for completion of tasks, places Number 13 in the exclusive class of Karmic Debt Numbers. Karma stands as a debt that has to be paid off by its bearers. Life usually puts up some challenging works before them which they accomplish in their unusual ways. A disciplined approach combined with superb organization not only makes them a tough task master but also a great achiever in nearly every field of life.
Since 13 emanates from Number 4, so it is as restive as its basic Number. Forget about an easy ransom, if anything or anyone with Number 13 has made way into your life, especially if you too have some 4 or 8 in your number chart. It may have some fated purpose, be it a successful future or a controversial life. The days falling on that Number are also slated for accomplishing half done works and calls for well-organized effort with an innovative approach. If such dates fall on Saturdays, the power and also the requirements of 13 are intensified.
So you know how great it is to be with 13. But there are pitfalls too. Those who have 13 as a Birthday, Life Path or Expression Number are sometimes just crazy for new and controversial experiments and overly critical of time tested traditional approach. The idea of doing something or living life in a different way at times leads their lives to the controversial styles that earn them a bad name in society. I think Uranus has bestowed a radical wisdom upon them to accomplish great tasks for common good and not to give others a difficult time by insisting on needless changes and creating pointless controversies.
