Lama Tours Road Shows in India

Dubai-based Lama Desert Tourism L.L.C., a major inbound tour operator and DMC (Destination Management Company) recently accomplished it s three-city road show in Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi. The road show was conducted in association with Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
Founded by an Indian, Mr. Kulwant Singh, the tour company brought in 16 hoteliers from Dubai and the surrounding regions to provide a foremost interface with the Indian travel trade. Each road show witnessed participation of more than 100 travel trade members.
Participating hotels at the road show included: Citymax Hotels, Ramada Downtown, Dubai; Royal Ascot and Ascot Hotel, Hyatt Regency, Dubai; The Accor Hospitality, Dubai; Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Intercontinental and Crowne Plaza, Dubai Festival City; Raffles, Dubai; Rotana Hotel, UAE; Crowne Plaza, Dubai; Fraser Suits; Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates; Kempinski Hotel Ajman; City Seasons Group of Hotels; Grand Millennium, Dubai; Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites and Dusit Thani, Dubai.
Kulwant Singh, Managing Director, Lama Desert Tourism L.L.C., expressed, “India has become one of our core international markets since the past few years. Last year we catered to 1,20,000 Indian passengers from India to Dubai which is close to 50 per cent of the market share in tourist traffic. With the improving tourist figures from India to Dubai, we are aiming to tap the traffic by working closely with DTCM in India and Indian travel trade. Through this three-city road show, we intend to provide a platform for Indian suppliers and Dubai based service providers to interact with each other. Indian travel suppliers can provide suggestions, feedbacks, complaints, etc. directly to the hoteliers to help in improving the service standards and understand the Indian market in a better way.”
While mentioning about the company's future plans, Singh said, “As per the expansion plans, we are entering the Middle East and Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) region and will offer major travel services. We intend to work closely with the Indian travel trade to successfully expand our business prospects.”
